A is For Artists

A is For Artists

Update 05/10/23: A is For has worked with so many fabulous artists over the last 10 years, and we’re still working on adding everyone. This page is in development and is evolving! If you have questions, please email info@aisfor.org.

Join us at the Intersection of Art & Reproductive Rights

A is For amplifies art and artists that work to end the stigma against abortion. Now in our 10th year of stigma-busting work, A is For has evolved into a growing, ever-creating nonprofit organization that brings together artists and activists.

And, now we want to hear from you, all of the artists who are passionate about abortion access reproductive rights, and bodily autonomy.  Art is a powerful tool for change, and A is For wants to amplify your work to further eradicate stigma, elevate the human experience of abortion, and promote artists who can dispel myths and misconceptions. We want to change the way people think about abortion and reproductive justice.

So, we’d love to feature your stories, photographs, paintings, short films, or crocheted doilies — whatever you’re creating that is centered around abortion and/or reproductive rights, justice, or freedom.

Recent Work

Artists in Collaboration

A is For is a home, and safe space, for artists, actors, playwrights, and other talented creators who are passionate about reproductive rights, and abortion access. We are honored to amplify their stigma-busting work, and encourage others to join our vibrant, beautiful community. In defiance and with newfound clarity of purpose, we must all use our voices, pens, paintbrushes, cameras ... to speak up, and fight back.
